Bring your items in on hangers, having washed, pressed or dry-cleaned them. The nicer the items look when you bring them in, the nicer they will look on the rack, the better chance you have of selling them. And selling them is the only way you are going to make money!
Make sure that the store has a contract with you. This is the only way to protect you, the store and to keep everyone on the same page as to how many items you are selling, how much the precentage is and how to get your items back if they don't sell..
Lastly, always pick up your unsold items, at least the first time you use a paticular consignment shop. It lets you see what didn't sell, to know if you were paid correctly and to decide if you and your items will work at this shop.
