If you are looking to get some gorgeous vintage jewelry you should check out my friend Ivy's site: IvysAttic.etsy.com. She is the owner of a fabulous consignment store in Missoula, MT. It is called DejaNu Consignment Boutique Even though I have never personally been in her store in Montana, I was in her store here locally in Medford, Oregon and it was wonderful. I have known Ivy for about 7 years and I adore her!
So when she told me she was opening a store on etsy.com I was so excited to share it with you.

    Organization tools

Just a quick thought.. If you are looking for some tools to help organize your pantry or kitchen, Amazon has some great products to help you with doing so.
Disclosure: I'm an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on my site supports Ronni's Resources at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

    Walgreen's Photo of the Day!

Today's deal is a Collage Mouse Pad for $2.99. I like the collage photo products.. I like seeing a variety of pictures in one spot. Especially if I can't make up my mind which one to use! Hope you can narrow down your choices!
Welcome to Works for Me Wednesday. Today I thought I would continue my discussion about Pantry Organization. In addition to the over the door shoe organizer that I talked about last week, I also use baskets and other means of organization.

Here I use a couple of containers/baskets to hold packages of Ramen soup and popcorn. Helps keep things corralled on the shelves:

Here is a two-tiered lazy Susan that I use for small jars so that they don’t get lost in the shuffle:

This is a corner cupboard that is awkward and hard to get stuff in and out of, so I use
a three-tiered shelf to hold small cans of tomato sauce, mushrooms, and green chilies. I also use big, lazy Susans to hold jars of things:

For all my canned goods I use this rotating system from  Shelf Reliance:

I have had it for about 3 years, it was easy to put together, practical for buying canned goods in bulk, and it rotates the cans for you. It also is very easy to see what you have and are short on. You can customize it to fit your needs from #10 can size down to mushroom can size.

If you have any questions about any of my storage or organization methods, please comment and I will be happy to help.

    Free Photo book

Walgreen's photo is offering a free 8.5 x 11 classic photo book. You need to use the code FAVORITEBOOK2. You will need to pay 6.99 for shipping.

    A frugal alternative..

    A frugal alternative to bleach:

    1. Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. (I do it when I bathe.) No more canker sores, and your teeth will be whiter without expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash.
    2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of peroxide to keep them free of germs.
    3. Clean your counters and table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe, or spray it on the counters.
    4. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on
It to kill salmonella and other bacteria.
    5. If you have fungus on your feet try spraying a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water on them(especially the toes) every night and let dry.
    6. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for five to ten minutes several times a day. My husband has seen gangrene that would not heal with any medicine but was healed by soaking in peroxide.
    7. Fill a spray bottle with a50/50 mixture of peroxide and water and keep it in every bathroom to disinfect without harming your septic system like bleach or most other disinfectants will.
       8. Tilt your head back and spray into nostrils with your 50/50 mixture whenever you have a cold, plugged sinus. It will bubble and help to kill the bacteria. Hold for a few minutes, and then blow your nose into a tissue.
    9. If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.
10.And of course, if you like a natural look to your hair, spray the 50/50 solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. You will not have the peroxide-burnt blonde hair like the hair dye packages but more natural highlights. It also lightens gradually, so it's not a drastic change.
    11. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help get rid of boils, fungus, or other skin infections.
    12. You can also add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites in your laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing, pour it directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a minute, then rub it and rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary.
    13. I use peroxide to clean my mirrors. There is no smearing, which is why I love it so much for this.
    14. Another place it's great is in the bathroom, if someone has been careless & has peed on the floor around the toilet & it's begun to smell of urine. Just put some peroxide in a spray bottle& spray. In the blink of any eye all the smell will be gone & the bacteria eliminated! Icould go on and on. It is a little brown bottle no home should be without! With prices of most necessities rising, I'm glad there's a way to save tons of money in such a simple, healthy manner! This Information really woke me up. I hope you gain something from it, too.

Works For Me Wednesday- Pantry Organization

Happy Wednesday! Today I wanted to talk a bit about organizing your pantry. My pantry is a little closet in my kitchen/dining area. It has some great, deep shelves but when you have a bunch of little stuff some times that can get lost in the shuffle.

I got an over the door shoeholder. You know the kind, a pocket for every shoe? Well I use that in my pantry for all the little stuff. I have pockets for each type of seasoning/gravy mix we use. (IE taco, auju, chicken or mushroom gravy). I use pockets for granola bars, for fruit snack (none of which I have right now, LOL! Hence the empty pockets!) I store empty bread sacks for when I bake my own bread I have something to wrap it in. There are several pockets for hot chocolate and cider mixes.   The big pockets at the bottom I use for paper plates and plastic utensils.

This is just one way I help keep my pantry more organized.

    Valentines Day Ideas

With Valentines Day coming up this next MONDAY.. (yes I said Monday!) Time to think about those near and dear to your heart.. And how to show them.

    A few good ideas!

Give them a HEART ATTACK! Cut out of construction paper all sizes of hearts, big, small, medium and literally paste them everywhere.. all over the bathroom so your loved one sees them first thing when they get up. Or shower the inside of the car.. or make a heart pathway from the bedroom to the kitchen where you have a yummy breakfast waiting.. the possibilities are endless!

a really good- from the heart gift is a COUPON BOOK.. Take some paper, cut into 4x6 size. Punch two holes on one side to string some yarn/thread/ribbon thru. On each page give a "coupon" for something you can do for your loved one. IE: breakfast in bed, a back or foot rub, etc..

If you can't decide whether to give cash or a gift.. here is a site that very neatly combines the two. Go ahead.. make an origami heart!

And last but certainly not least, A HOMEMADE CARD expressing your feelings is another great idea.

So.. Lets hope Punxatawny Phil does not see his shadow!

    Works for Me Wednesday

My friend Linda T. gave me this excellent advice for this weeks edition of WFMW:

A quick tip to help keep your kitchen / fridge/ pantry more organized is to keep everything in the same place all the time.
IE: eggs go in the same spot; milk has its spot, bread etc... They all have there “homes” in the fridge, freeze, pantry etc.
This way when you go to write out your shopping list, if you look in the milk spot and you are out of milk you will know that you are really out of milk! Not have to search the fridge to see if it’s in another spot!
