I will never get rich off of the Internet, but here is how I made a few extra bucks in May, in my "spare" time!
Swagbucks As you may know, Swagbucks is a online search engine. Use it just like Google, in fact, they are powered by Google. I use Swagbucks everyday. I will do searches for sites that I visit every day like Facebook or MSN.
This is ow it works: search for anything/everything like you normally do, as you search, randomly you will be awarded with Swagbucks. These are "digital dollars". When you get enough you can redeem them for prizes. My favorite thing to redeem for is $5 Amazon gift cards. They are only 450 Swagbucks and I save the gift cards in my Amazon account to use for holiday spending. (They never expire.)
It’s easy to get at least 5 Swagbucks a day. Answer the Daily Poll, check see if you qualify for a survey, follow the NOSO (no obligation, special offers) path (worth 2 Swagbucks) and Invite a friend.
Another way I earn Amazon gift cards is by using Irazoo. It is a search engine also. Just by logging in and going to the "Mega Points" page you will get 5 points. Every search/recommendation will earn you 10 points. You can earn a maximum of 150 points a day this way.
Also they will randomly give you "Treasure" points. These are random amounts of extra points. It takes 3000 points to earn a $5 Amazon gift card.
Another site I use is M Turk. It is also know as Mechanical Turk. This is Amazon's website where you can make money completing small, mundane tasks. It's fairly easy. You sign up for an account, look over the "hits" that are available and complete the tasks they ask. Tasks are as simple as clicking yes or no, answering short surveys or looking at pictures, some are harder and require more time.
I also do surveys. These range from a few minutes of my time up to 30 minutes. The payout is based upon time spent. Opinion Outpost is one site I do fairly well at.
They send me survey opportunities, I decide if I want to do the survey or not based on time and compensation. In May I earned $16.80. At $5 I can cash out for an Amazon gift card or at a balance of $20 you can request a check.
For May I earned 2 ($5 each) Amazon gift cards from Swagbucks 2 ($5 each) Amazon gift card from Irazoo, and $15 worth of Amazon gift cards from Opinion Outpost
From M Turk I earned $11.14. (about 2 hours of my spare time.) I know it's not much, but they pay you by check or by adding the money to your Amazon Account.
For a total of $46.14. Not bad for a few minutes work each day! Happy Holiday Shopping!
