Mega Swag!

Don't forget today is MEGA SWAG DAY! Remember to use Swagbucks for all your searching and be rewarded!

What is Swagbucks?  Swagbucks is a search engine, it’s powered by Google and it rewards you for doing something I bet you do every day- search the internet!

Here’s how it works:
Sign up for Swagbucks (thanks for using my referal link ) then every time you need to search the web, use Swagbucks. You will be rewarded with “digital dollars” save them and buy Amazon gift cards.

I use my Swagbucks to redeem for Amazon gift cards, which I then save for the holidays! It’s easy to get at least 3 Swagbucks a day! Do the daily poll, and the NOSO (no obligation, special offers). That's an easy 30 Swagbucks a month!

Works for Me Wednesday-- Stain Removal

Stain removal tips:

**Ball point on clothes? Try some hairspray... spray on and rub in, wash as usual.

**Clean immediately- if you spill something on your clothes while eating out, dip a clean white cloth   napkin or handkerchief in to a glass of club soda and sponge off.

** Got Gum? Ice it! apply ice to harden gum and then you can scrape it off, rinse with hot water and wash. (Peanut butter works if the gum is stuck in your hair.)

**Pencil marks on your clothes? Use an eraser and rinse in warm water.

Meal Plan Monday

Happy MONDAY! Welcome to Ronni's Resources!

I will be leaving Friday early morning to travel to Idaho for my grandma's memorial. So Joe and the boys will be here to fend for themselves!

Here's what's going on food wise in our house this week:

BREAKFASTS:

Since it's summer and no school, I don't fix breakfast for the kids. (gasp!) I leave well before they are up and they know their way around a kitchen! (Yeah for self sufficient kids!)

LUNCHES:

I usually brown bag it to work with leftovers or salads. Joe and the kids make soup, sandwiches or eat up leftovers.

DINNER:

Monday:                      Oriental Chicken Salad

Tuesday:                      Fend for yourself!

Wednesday:                Pork Chops w/ fixin's

Thursday:                    Fend for yourself!

Friday:                         Grilled Bacon and Cheese sandwiches

Saturday:                     Pizza

Today's Tidbits-- More Summer fun (part 2)

Looking for something fun to do with the family this summer? If you live in the Rogue Valley there are a lot of activities you can do! - Last time we talked about parks to visit.

Today here are a few other activites available here in the Rogue Valley.

Jackson County Libraries have summer reading programs. Children age 3-12 are invited to sign up at their local branch library for the Dream Big - Read. Kids can make a dream-catcher, learn about owls and bats, and enjoy a variety of programs, activities, and storytimes at libraries throughout the county. All children who read or listen to ten books will receive a special bookmark, and a reading certificate among other prizes.

Older kids can join the "Own the Night" program. Teens  will be asked to write a review to earn the chance to win one of 15 Kindle E-readers and other prizes.

Even adults can get in on the action! “Between the Covers” is the theme and along with reading 4 books and putting your name into a drawing for a prize at your local branch, there will be other activities!

Kids Time provides a fun yet educational experience, by offering a hands-on discovery space that stimulates brain development in young children.

Stay tuned for more activities tomorrow!

Works for Me Wednesday- Quick tips

*** Pin a small safety pin to the seam of your slip and you will not have a clingy skirt or dress. Same thing works with slacks that cling with panty hose.

***Before you pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill it with hot water. Dump out the water , but don't dry the cup. Next, add your ingredient, such as peanut butter or honey, and watch how easily it comes out.

***Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it home and can't digest it. so it kills them. It may take a week or so, but it works and you don't have to worry about small children or pets.

***Keep a small bottle of baby powder in your beach bag. When your ready to leave the beach, sprinkle yourself and the kids with the powder and the sand will slide right off your skin!

Elevated platforms surround the two bowls which drop down 7-9 ft. radius.

EXERCISE WORKS FOR ME!

Trying to cut down health care costs? One of the best ways is to exercise. What? you say. Exercise? Yes, some of the benefits of exercise include controlling your weight, lower your cholesterol and depression among other things. Weight issues can lead to diabetes, high blood pressure and just not feeling/looking well.
The more you engage in physical activity the more calories you burn. You say you don't have time, everyone has time, and little chucks of activity add up. Take the stairs, park farther away, take a walk around the block after dinner instead of watching TV. It all adds up!

Exercise can help lower your cholesterol, improve your mood, and help you blow off steam. Physical activity stimulates brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. Regular exercise can improve your muscle strength and boost endurance. When your heart and lungs work better you have more energy!

It also can help you fall asleep faster and deepen your sleep. Just don't do strenuous exercise before bed, it can keep you awake.

As a general goal you want to aim for 30 minutes total physical activity a day. this can be accomplished in 10 minute slots for you really busy people. If you want to  lose weight you may need to exercise more. Remember to check with your doctor before starting any new exercise program. By being healthy you will cut down on your health care costs, and some employers have wellness programs that give incentives if you meet certain wellness goals! Have fun and be healthy! That's What Works for Me!
