Pictures...

With weddings, graduations, end of the school year plays and presentions I am sure you are taking as many pictures as I am.

But what happens after you take the picture? I used to leave them on my camara and then forget about them. But why bother taking them if you don't do something with them and enjoy them.

Once a month I try to upload all my pictures from my camera to my computer. I have a folder labeled 2013, with sub folders for each month. This makes it easy to find a special picture and it makes it easy when I go to have my pictures printed.

That's what works for me!

Honey -- works for me!

So, with all the stress around here it stands to reason that my face would break out!

Yeah, just what I needed. But I remembered that I heard somewhere that honey can reduce the size and duration of zits.. so I figured, it can't hurt!

Last night I put a dab of honey on the offending blemish and covered it with a bandaid. This morning, the redness and swelling is down and it really is almost gone! Yeah!

Honey works for me!

Meal Plan Monday- New routine

Time to get into a new routine. With my husband gone and two boys still at home, I will have to utilize them in the meal plan and cooking process. I work 2 late shifts a week so I think they can step up and help fix dinners.

Wednesday:                Crockpot cassorole  (Jacob)

Friday:                         Movie Night & Pizza

Souper Sunday:           Soup and Sandwiches.

As you know, Swagbucks is one of my favorite ways to make a little extra. It's easy and free to do.

It's  easy is to get  4 Swagbucks a day! Do the daily poll and the NOSO (no obligation, special offers) and use the tool bar. Of course there are lots more ways to earn bucks, searching and watching videos, and looking for swag codes, just to name a few.

Swagbucks also has a great referral program: you’ll earn matching Swagbucks (buck for buck) for the first 1,000 Swagbucks anyone you refer earns. Obviously, this is a fantastic way to increase your earnings — and one way that has helped me earn quite a few more Swagbucks over the years.

If you try Swagbucks and it works well for you, be sure to share your referral link with your friends or write a post about it on your blog. Don’t keep a good thing to yourself.  up (thanks for signing up under my referral link!)

Got Mold?

Or mildew stains? I did and I had tried just about everything to get rid of them when Soft Scrub sent me  a sample of their new product Soft Scrub Mold & Mildew Stain Remover GEL.

TightWad Tuesday-- April Roundup

 It's the time of the month when I get to encourage you to think outside the box for ways to financially help your family. I have to say that April was a really bad month, not only in terms of my husband passing away, but also finding time to do some of my "extracurricular" activities to earn extra money.
 
 
My favorite way to earn money is Swagbucks. in April, I earned 3650 Swagbucks, (just a smidgen more than in March- every month, just a bit more.) Again this month, I have enough for 2 $5 Amazon gift cards, and a $25 PayPal credit. I debated between the two. I like the Amazon Gift Cards, but it is nice to have a little something in my Paypal account also. Dollar wise, still the same amount. $25 and $10 or if I were to get all Amazon cards, would be $35 worth there. I am just short of getting a third Amazon $5 card.
 
Instant cash sweepstakes was a small amount, but for the minutes I put into it, it is worth it. Since the payout amount is only $2 it doesn't take long to reach it. In April I earned $0.87 which is the most I have ever earned in a month. I have a total of $2.86 and the cash out level is $2 so I will cash it all out. They send it to my Paypal account.
 
Jingit is a income-earning program that pays you to watch videos online. You can also earn money for downloading the mobile app, scanning items at different stores, and answering a couple of  questions. I was disappointed in the amount I made here this month. It was only $0.10, and there were not any opportunities to earn. I will just let my dime ride and see how May goes!
 
Bing rewards is a lot like Swagbucks. By spending just a few minutes per day, you can easily earn a $5 Amazon gift card every month. You start a free account and for every 3 searches using Bing, you earn points. You can earn up to 30 credits per day by searching. They also often give you "daily tasks" which are quick and easy way to earn more credits. My total for April was 1243 credits this is enough for 2 $5 Amazon gift cards.
 
With Mturk I earned a decent amount $4.96. I spent about an hour total. I like Mturk because I can choose to have my payout in cash to my bank account or deposited into my Amazon account. For  April I am choosing to not cash out and roll it into May. I really don't want to cash out till it's about $50. (Right now it's at $29.09.)

Irazoo is also lot like Swagbucks. It rewards you points for completing offers, surveys, watching videos, playing games, and other tasks. Points can then be exchanged for gift cards. It takes 3000 points to earn 1 $5 Amazon gift card. Points are fairly easy to earn. The downside to Irazoo is it takes

about a month after I request the codes to get them, which is kind of slow. In April I earned 4072 points, cashed out for 1 $5 Amazon gift card..


My total rewards was $57.92 My time invested was approximately 10 hours. That's $5.79 per hour. I will never get rich doing this stuff...but every little bit helps.

Works for me Wednesday -Spring Fitness

Spring is here! I love being outside, but as a redhead with fair skin, I do try to limit my outdoor activites to early in the morning or later in the day. I try not to go outside between 11am-2pm when the sun's rays are the hottest.
Not my yard... but I love Tulips!

I also like to mix up my fitness routine. After spending the winter on the treadmill it is so much fun to get outdoors and work in my garden. Not only does this give me a change of pace with exerciseing.. but it also makes my yard look BEAUTIFUL.
Here is my garden for this year.. we just put seeds in this weekend.



Another thing I do to switch out my workouts, I bike to work. It's 2.5 miles each way, takes me about 20 minutes each way and that is 40 minutes of good cardio everyday. I get to enjoy the sun and work out at the same time! Plus as an added benefit, I save on gas!

Mixing up the routine and enjoying the great outdoors.. that's what works for me!
